Verdant Canon Privacy Policy

1. Overview
Verdant Canon is an offline archive for classical texts and plant-related literature. The current version is designed to minimize data collection. It does not require an account and does not include advertising, third-party analytics, user tracking, cloud synchronization, or a remote content service.
Verdant Canon is permanently non-medical. It does not ask users to provide symptoms, diagnoses, prescriptions, medication records, or other health information.
2. Data the developer does not collect
The current version does not automatically transmit the following data off the device for collection, storage, or access by the developer or a third party. The app performs only the on-device processing needed for bookmarks, reading history, notes, exports, and interface preferences:
- Name, email address, telephone number, or account identifier
- Precise or approximate location
- Contacts, photo library, microphone, camera, or health data
- Device advertising identifier
- Browsing profiles or cross-app or cross-site tracking data
- Bookmarks, reading history, or notes created in the app
The app does not use data for advertising and does not sell user data.
3. Data stored only on the device
To provide core features, the app stores the following in its local application sandbox:
- First-use status and interface preferences
- Bookmarked entries
- Recent reading records
- Personal notes entered by the user
- Local status of installed offline content packs
The app does not automatically upload this data to a developer server. Users can remove bookmarks, history, and notes or clear the corresponding on-device data. On iPhone or iPad, use the system’s Delete App action—not Offload App, which retains documents and data—to remove the app’s local data from that device. On Mac, users can clear their private archive in the app before removing the app. Whether an existing device backup contains app data, and when a backup copy is deleted, is controlled by the user’s system and Apple backup settings rather than by this app.
4. Exporting a personal archive
Users can choose to export bookmarks, reading history, and local notes as a JSON file. The system file interface gives the file to a location selected by the user. If the user chooses iCloud Drive or a third-party file provider, later storage and transmission are governed by Apple’s or that provider’s privacy policy.
The app does not export data in the background and does not choose a cloud destination for the user. An export may contain user-entered notes, so users should verify the destination before saving or sharing it.
5. External links
Core app features do not require a network connection. Some pages contain fixed links to source institutions, collection records, rights statements, the privacy policy, or support.
Only after a user selects a link does iOS, iPadOS, or macOS hand it to the system’s default browser. The app does not include an unrestricted web browser. External websites may process access logs, cookies, or network information under their own privacy policies. Verdant Canon does not control those sites and does not receive user profiles from them.
6. System sharing
When a user actively invokes the system share sheet, the platform gives the selected content to the destination app or service chosen by the user. Verdant Canon does not share content in the background. The destination app or service processes shared content under its own privacy policy.
7. Tracking and analytics
The current version:
- Does not request App Tracking Transparency permission
- Does not track users across apps or websites
- Contains no advertising SDK
- Contains no third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK
- Declares no tracking domains
8. Children’s privacy
The app is not directed to children and is not submitted as Made for Kids. It has no social features, chat, advertising, or public user-generated content, and it does not knowingly collect children’s personal information. The app provides no parental controls, age assurance, or age-verification feature, so it does not request or process identity documents, dates of birth, or age-range data. The age rating is generated in App Store Connect from the final binary and the publisher’s completed questionnaire and applies at the app level to the iOS, iPadOS, and macOS versions.
9. Non-medical boundary
The app provides indexes to classical texts, plant-related literature, and collection records. It does not provide efficacy claims, indications, dosage, contraindications, diagnosis, treatment, or personalized recommendations, and it does not collect health data.
Users should not place sensitive information in personal notes if they do not want that information stored on their device.
10. Policy changes
If a future version adds accounts, network-delivered updates, cloud synchronization, analytics, crash reporting, or any other data processing, the developer will update this policy, the app privacy manifest, and the App Store privacy disclosures before enabling that capability, including the purpose, method, and retention period.
The app’s non-medical product boundary will not change through a privacy-policy update.

草木经纬隐私政策

一、概述
草木经纬是一款由个人独立开发的离线古籍与草木文献典藏应用。当前版本按照“尽量不收集”的原则设计，不要求注册账号，不接入广告、第三方分析、用户追踪、云端同步或远程内容服务。
草木经纬是永久非医疗的文献工具，不请求用户提供症状、诊断、处方、用药或其他健康资料。
二、开发者不收集的数据
当前版本不会把以下资料自动传出设备供 App 开发者或第三方收集、保存或访问。为了实现收藏、历史、笔记、导出和界面偏好，App 会在设备上进行必要的本地处理：
- 姓名、电子邮箱、电话号码或账号标识
- 精确位置或粗略位置
- 通讯录、照片库、麦克风、相机或健康资料
- 设备广告标识符
- 浏览行为画像或跨 App、跨网站跟踪数据
- 用户在 App 中记录的收藏、阅读历史或笔记
App 不使用数据进行广告投放，也不出售用户数据。
三、仅保存在设备上的资料
为了提供基本功能，App 会在本机应用沙盒内保存：
- 首次使用状态和界面偏好
- 收藏条目
- 最近研读记录
- 用户主动输入的个人笔记
- 已安装离线内容包的本地状态
这些资料不会由 App 自动上传到开发者服务器。用户可以取消收藏、移除历史、删除笔记，或清空相应本机资料。在 iPhone 或 iPad 上，通过系统的“删除 App”（而不是会保留文稿与数据的“卸载 App”）可以移除当前设备上的 App 本地资料；在 Mac 上，可先在 App 内清除私人典藏，再移除 App。已经存在的设备备份是否包含 App 数据，以及备份副本何时删除，由用户的系统和 Apple 备份设置决定，并非本 App 主动上传。
四、个人典藏导出
用户可以主动把收藏、阅读历史和本地笔记导出为 JSON 文件。导出时，系统文件界面会把文件交给用户选择的位置。如果用户选择 iCloud Drive 或第三方文件提供方，后续存储和传输适用 Apple 或相应提供方的隐私政策。
App 不会在后台自动导出，也不会替用户选择云端位置。导出文件可能包含用户输入的笔记，用户应在保存或分享前确认目标位置。
五、外部链接
App 核心功能无需联网。部分页面包含固定的来源机构、馆藏原页、权利说明、隐私政策或支持链接。
只有用户主动点击时，iOS、iPadOS 或 macOS 才会把链接交由系统默认浏览器打开。App 内不提供自由网页浏览器。外部网站可能按照其自身隐私政策处理访问日志、Cookie 或网络信息；草木经纬不控制这些网站，也不会从中接收用户画像。
六、系统分享
用户主动使用系统分享功能时，内容会交由所在平台的系统分享界面和用户选择的目标 App 或服务处理。草木经纬不会在后台自动分享。目标 App 或服务如何处理分享内容，适用其自身隐私政策。
七、跟踪与分析
当前版本：
- 不请求 App Tracking Transparency 跟踪许可
- 不进行跨 App 或跨网站跟踪
- 不包含广告 SDK
- 不包含第三方分析或崩溃上报 SDK
- 不配置跟踪域名
八、儿童隐私
本 App 不以儿童为目标用户，不申请 Made for Kids，不提供社交、聊天、广告或公开用户生成内容，也不会故意收集儿童个人资料。本 App 不提供家长控制、年龄保障或年龄验证能力；因此不会请求或处理身份证件、出生日期或年龄段资料。年龄分级以 App Store Connect 根据最终二进制和实际问卷生成的结果为准，并在 App 层级应用于 iOS、iPadOS 与 macOS 版本。
九、非医疗边界
本 App 只提供古籍、草木文献和馆藏资料索引，不提供功效、主治、剂量、禁忌、诊断、治疗或个性化推荐，也不收集健康资料。
用户不应在个人笔记中保存不希望留在设备上的敏感信息。
十、政策变更
如果未来版本增加账号、联网更新、云同步、分析、崩溃上报或其他数据处理能力，开发者会在功能启用前更新本政策、App 隐私清单和 App Store 隐私标签，并说明收集目的、处理方式和保存期限。
非医疗产品边界不会因隐私政策更新而改变。
